"Winter Sunset" ~ and an art fair question...

"Winter Sunset"
6 x 6 painting

In this painting, a little fox and her baby are taking a walk. They are walking through a snowy field as the sun is setting. The sky is that bright, glowing color you only see during a cold weather sunset. This painting is available for $35 in my Etsy Shop: http://justineehlers.etsy.com

This is my art fair question: Should I give an art/craft fair a try this Spring? I haven't tried selling my paintings and prints in this way before. I've been a little nervous to try because I'm not sure if people are buying again. I would be very interested in hearing your experiences with recent fairs. Are a lot of people coming out shopping? Are they buying? I would love some answers! :)

Foxy

Happy New Year everyone! I hope that 2010 is off to a great start for all of you. I've begun 2010 painting foxes. My first fox painting is titled, "Winter Song" because it is of a little fox listening to birds sing in a peaceful forest. My second painting is titled "Fox in the Forest." Both of these fox paintings are 5 x 7 inches in size and painted on textured watercolor paper. They are available for $35 each in my Etsy shop.

Valentine Birds Painting

"Valentine Birds"

6 x 6 inch painting

After a very busy holiday season, I'm back to painting! I was in the mood to do a Valentine's Day painting today. There are plenty of details in this little painting, from the swirls in the tree, to the hearts hanging from the branches. This painting would make a lovely decoration or gift for Valentine's Day.

I have listed this painting for sale in my Etsy shop. To view the listing for this painting Click Here

Rosy Pear ~ Wednesday's painting of the day

"Rosy Pear"
6 x 6 inch painting

My original painting for today is titled, "Rosy Pear." There are a lot of layers of blended color in this painting. The pear I was painting was a beautiful mixture of green, gold, and a rosy pink. This painting would be a great addition to a kitchen or any room that could use a little color.
